A website dedicated to Bette Davis.
I have been a fan of Bette Davis since the 80's, but as of recently, my admiration of her has grown. I have seen that there are not very many dedications created for her online. I decided to put this site together, for other fans like myself, to enjoy Bette, through her life and career. I am also hoping she will gain new fans in the process who have not discovered her awesome talents and witty, strong willed personality.
Bette Davis has millions of fans worldwide and is the ultimate legend. As this site progresses, you will see an extensive site with a lot of content, info, photos, videos, and much more. This site is currently in it's completion stages, so if you see pages that are not yet completed, they are in the process of being worked on and added. Stay tuned, for the great things to come as you watch this site being created, step by step.
I am currently looking for people who would be willing to donate stuff to the site, such as video footage, magazines, etc. I need these things to build my own collection, and also to share with visitors on the site. If you have anything you would like to donate to the site, to sell, please contact me at webmaster@bettedavisonline.com.
Ruth Elizabeth Davis was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on April 5, 1908. She began her career as a dancer and an actress at a young age. Although, in the beginning, she struggled, with getting decent roles, directors, etc, Bette flourished into becoming in my opinion, the greatest actress of all time. She has made over 100 movies, won two Academy Awards, has had many hit movies to her credit such as (Jezebel, Now, Voyager, All About Eve, Dangerous, Whatever Happend To Baby Jane, Dark Victory, and Of Human Bondage just to name a few), appeared on many television shows in the later part of her career and still remained successful.
In 1983, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, had a masectomy, and suffered a series of strokes during her recovery which left her partically paralized on the right side of her face, and left arm. Although she was fighting this battle, she never faltered and stood strong until the cancer came back and eventually took her life in 1989. Bette may be gone, but she will NEVER be forgotten.

Today is Bette's birthday. If she were alive today, she would be 101 years old. Sadly, Turner Classic Movies is not showing any of her films to honor her birthday as they have before. From all of the fans from all over the world, we wish you, Miss Bette Davis, a VERY Happy Birthday. You may be gone, but you are NEVER forgotten : ) .
